Apple Pie

Cut, peel, and slice enough apples to cover the bottom of 9 x 9 inch pan. Sprinkle the apples with cinnamon. 

Mix butter, oatmeal, and sugar (or sugar substitute) in a separate bowl. The mixture should be on the dry side. Add more oatmeal if needed. 

Approximately 6 big apples

1 cup sugar or sugar substitute

2 cups oatmeal

1 cup melted butter

Healthy Options to add to the filling

  • 2 Tablespoons Almond flour adds protein
  • 2 Tablespoons sunflower seeds add crunch,
  • 1 Tablespoon whole flaxseeds add omega 3.
